Creating my zine about the ups and downs of golf was both rewarding and tough. My goal was to show a golfer's journey through challenges, similar to life's obstacles. But making everything perfect was really hard. I had to change my ideas a lot during the project. Sometimes I would draw something, then realize it didn't fit what I wanted, so I had to rethink the layout, colors, or even the whole story.
One big challenge was blending a fun, cartoon style with a serious message about staying strong. I wanted the visuals to be simple and playful but still meaningful. Using Photoshop helped me a lot in trying out different designs quickly because I had used it before and could make changes easily.
This whole process taught me to be patient and think creatively. Each time I made a change or improvement, the zine got closer to what I had in mind at the start. Even though I wanted to create a more detailed story with strong characters, I struggled with Illustrator, a design tool. Despite these difficulties, I'm proud of my first project as a good starting point. I know there's a lot more to learn, and I'm excited to use this experience in future projects. Ultimately, the zine shows how a golfer can stay strong when facing life's challenges.
